Editing the stack

These commands edit pegboard.yaml and don’t apply anything. Run plan and apply afterward.

Command What it does
pegboard add mcp <name>=<command|url> Add an MCP
pegboard add skill <source> Add a skill
pegboard remove mcp <name> Remove an MCP
pegboard remove skill <source|name> Remove a skill
pegboard adopt Move everything installed ad-hoc into pegboard.yaml

add accepts --env K=V for stdio MCPs and --header K=V for HTTP MCPs. Both are repeatable. With --agent, the new MCP or skill is limited to those agents.

Ad-hoc mode

Command What it does
pegboard install mcp <name>=<command|url> Install an MCP now, without a stack
pegboard install skill <source> Install a skill now, without a stack
pegboard uninstall mcp <name> Remove an ad-hoc MCP
pegboard uninstall skill <name> Remove an ad-hoc skill

install accepts --env, --header, --save to also add the entry to pegboard.yaml, --force to overwrite anything that exists, --dry-run to show the plan and stop, and -y. uninstall accepts --force to remove entries edited by hand, --dry-run, and -y.

replicate accepts --context before|after|replace|skip, --force, --dry-run, and -y.
